A couple of years ago my young daughter asked me to wear her ring, afraid that she might loose it. Out of habit I tried to slide it onto my ring finger, which had a wedding ring for several years.  Her ring was too small to even slide over my second knuckle.  Looking down at my hand, I was reminded of how now being single,  I looked at other peoples hands to see if they were wearing a wedding ring.  Then the thought came to me, if you wear a ring to signify that you are married, what about wearing a ring to signify that you are single.  That is how my idea for the original "Ring Of Hope" began.
